Cherokee Cubs visited the Living With Water Community Hub and learnt all about water cycles and flood risk in our area. Within the lab, we experimented to understand flooding and sustainable drainage solutions (SuDS), as well as looking at what happens to the things we flush down our toilet! We also gained an understanding of how our families and communities can prepare their homes to reduce flood damage. A very informative evening as part of our Environmental Conservation and Global Issues badges. Thanks to Margaret and her colleagues from Yorkshire Water for sharing their knowledge with us.
