Cherokee Cubs had an excellent weekend at Blackhills Campsite, Bradford. The theme for the weekend was all things Christmas, and we started on Friday night decorating Christmas Eve boxes, ready for filling with goodies over the weekend. On Saturday we went for a walk in search of perfect sticks for making picture frames, which we then lashed together. We then went on to sew our own Christmas stockings, make tree decorations, chocolate bark, decorate Christmas trees, and of course prepare and cook Christmas dinner. We finished the evening with a Christmas quiz and a movie – Elf. During the night Santa must have popped in as our stockings were full the next morning! On Sunday we built a fire to burn our non-recyclable rubbish, decorated mugs, made hot chocolate reindeers, and then set off for home with a detour via Xscape for a bit of tobogganing – cold but brilliant fun.
