Congratulations to our two Apache Scout teams on their success in the Fells Marathon. Finishing in 1st Place were Apache 1 with a time of 10hrs 41mins and in 3rd Place were Apache 2 with a time of 12hrs 23mins out of the 13 teams taking part. The Fells Marathon is a two-day hiking competition for Scouts and Explorer Scouts. Carrying full kit for the two days, the Scout teams walk around 20 miles. Overnight the teams cater for themselves on a remote site monitored by event staff – no leaders or team supporters are permitted there. It is a test of navigation, camping skills and endurance. What an achievement!
