We moved onto our Stage 2 Emergency Aid badge this week and looked at some more serious casualties.

We practiced ringing the emergency services and in particular the ambulance service. We learnt all the vital pieces of information we need to give them and what to do if we were ever in that situation. We learnt how to deal with major bleeding, with or without the object that caused it and got to have a bit of fun with fake wounds! We also learnt how to initially treat a burn or scald and protect it before going to the hospital. We also learnt how to perform CPR and how to open an airway.

Lastly but most importantly we learnt that before we try to treat or help anybody we should always go and get help first!

Tonight Jack was also awarded Cub of the Month and we sang Happy Birthday to Ethan & Amelia.
