Waka Waka!

For a part of the International Activity badge, Beavers have to learn a song, play a game or perform a dance from another country. As we met on ‘Africa Scout Day’ we learnt the “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” dance, which draws inspiration from traditional African music and blends an African Colombian rhythm with a…

Well done to everyone for picking up these pioneering skills so quickly!

Beavers have been making Christmas decorations. They had four to make and could choose to take two home for their own tree. We had planned to go carol singing in the care homes this year, but that wasn’t to be, so instead our other decorations will be distributed to all the local care homes, along…

Recycle the Recycling

Beavers love an evening with a pile of junk. As part of the Builder activity badge, their challenge was to create a vehicle that was able to transport a small plastic ball. Lots of imagination was used and some creative ideas for storing the ball. Thanks to all our parents for recycling the leftovers!
