We completed three challenges as part of the 30 years of Beavers celebrations tonight.  The first was tying knots on a piece of rope.  Each Beaver attempted to tie a reef knot, clove hitch and shoelace knot with varying degrees of success!  We have decorated the scout den with the results to see if our knots stay fastened for a week.  Our second challenge was to design our own collage filling in the numbers 3 and 0 to make a big 30 – we chose to do this outdoors with lots of natural items, with brilliant results.  The third was to sing the song 30 brown beavers building up a dam, to which we also made up some actions.
